Studying Blues and Food

I am currently studying for my final exam (ever!) and realise that when I'm stressed I don't eat as well as I should (and I should definately know better). So here are some simple tips for eating properly while studying. Be prepared - the old boy scouts rule is a good one. If you're making dinner - make a huge one. You'll need convinent meals for lunches and dinners during the week. You can make your recipes go further by adding carbs such as rice, pasta and legumes, they're cheap and filling. Remember to stop and take a break - I'm not very good at this one, but it's so important. Take a 15 minute break every hour. Make yourself a cup of tea or have a small snack (carbs are the best, as they are your brains preferred fuel source). KISS (keep it simple stupid) - there's nothing wrong with having a good old fashion sandwich for lunch (or even dinner). This isn't the time to be trying new recipes and stressing yourself out even more - so put the quinoa away. Happy studying.
